Corin Solarin Tunde Solarin. Augustus Taiwo "Tai" Solarin Listen (20 August 1916 – 27 July 1994) was a Nigerianeducator and author. He established the famous Mayflower School, Ikenne, Ogun State in 1956. Taiwo “Tai” Solarin was a Nigerianeducator, social critic, and author who, in 1952, established the first secular school in Nigeria, the famous Mayflower School at Ikenne in Ogun State. TaiSolarin died on 27 July 1994, leaving behind not just the Mayflower School but an enduring legacy of intellectual courage. At his funeral, tributes poured in from students, journalists, political leaders, and ordinary Nigerians whose lives had been touched by his work.
