Exploring Regent Park Community Centre: Your Key To A Stronger Community

What has not changed is the strength of the community itself. RegentPark's residents, many of them from Somali, Tamil, South Asian, and Caribbean backgrounds, have shaped a neighbourhood culture that is resilient, welcoming, and deeply rooted. RegentParkCommunitycentre is without a doubt one of the best features of the new Regent Park. Opened in February 2016, the brand-new community centre was completed as part of Phase 2 of the Regent Park revitalization. The surrounding RegentPark neighborhood has undergone dramatic revitalization. Daniels Spectrum, a community cultural hub with arts programming, is right next door. The area feels safe, modern, and welcoming. Free drop-in programs at the communitycentre include gym time and activity sessions. We’re a community health centre in the RegentPark neighbourhood of Toronto. Browse our resources, or support us by donating or volunteering. The transformed RegentPark will feature a blend of market condominiums, affordable housing options. Lively new retail and community spaces. Over the past two years, my office has been working with Parks and Recreation to transform the space into a new community hub, providing space for community members and organizations. The RegentPark Revitalization, entering its final phases of development, is a CAD$1 billion neighbourhood regeneration initiative to transition the once stigmatized social housing community into a flourishing mixed-income community.
